Welcome to our new website
Please have a look round and complete a short survey to let us know what you think
If you are thinking of becoming a parish councillor and want to serve your local community, the National Association of Local Councils has general advice and information.
Anyone wishing to find out more information about a specific Parish or Town Council can contact the Parish or Town Clerk for the council concerned.
Briefing events for those interested in standing as a Parish/Town Councillor took place in February. View presentation slides [PowerPoint / 7649 KB].
Anyone considering standing as a candidate or an agent is strongly advised to read guidance and information provided by the Electoral Commission.
In addition to meeting at least one qualification, you must ensure that you are not disqualified from standing. Please refer to the Electoral Commission’s guidance on qualifications and disqualifications.
Guidance documents for candidates and agents are available to download below.
As with national elections, you and your campaigners should also have regard to the Electoral Commission's Code of Conduct for Campaigners Code of Conduct for Campaigners, which outlines what is, and what is not, acceptable behaviour at polling stations and in the community during the lead up to polling day.
For any further information about the elections please contact the Elections Office at North Kesteven District Council on 01529 308352 or by emailing the Elections team.
