Have Your Say on NK’s Tree Strategy. Trees are very important and valuable assets, with proven benefits linked to climate change, mental and physical health, and wellbeing. They provide a range of environmental benefits including reducing flood risk and air pollution, and support biodiversity. Trees also improve the vitality of our communities and make them more desirable places to live, work and visit.
As part of the Council’s commitments to tackling climate change and improving the health and wellbeing of our communities, we have produced a Tree Strategy. This Strategy aims to support the Council’s ambitions to maximise tree planting on Council owned land, and to work with our stakeholders to increase tree canopy cover across NK.
We aim to formally adopt this Strategy in early 2021. Before we do this, we would like to hear your views.
