Workforce monitoring and equality research

As part of the work responding to the Public Sector Equality Duty, North Kesteven District Council has produced a Workforce Equality Profile to help us understand key equality issues in our workforce. Equality information reflects the protected characteristics of service users and employees. The publication of equality information is designed to make decision-making more transparent and help to explain how and why decisions have been made. Equality information can also help to understand patterns and trends and the effects of the Council’s policies and practices.

We are in the process of producing the Council’s performance framework for 2015/16. This will include performance indicators, risks, projects and programmes relating to equality.

Surveys are routinely undertaken assessing residents satisfaction of services. Responses can be broken down into protected characteristics at the end of Quarter 4. In addition, analysis regarding complaints (to include information broken down by protected characteristic with a reason for the complaint) will be undertaken at the end of Quarter 4.
