North Kesteven receives Government funding to tackle rough sleeping

Date Published: 07 February 2020

North Kesteven District Council is among seven Lincolnshire local authorities to receive additional government funding to tackle homelessness and rough sleeping. In the latest round of Rough Sleeping Initiative Funding, North Kesteven District Council is utilising £600,000 together with South Holland, South Kesteven and West Lindsey district councils in a shared partnership.

The funding, administered by the Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government, will seek to reduce the number of rough sleepers by increasing levels of preventative intervention for at risk, reducing the number of ‘repeat’ rough sleepers, improving physical and mental wellbeing as well as providing greater levels of support in settled accommodation.
