North Kesteven District Council’s Building Control team has been recognised for the quality service it offers on building projects across the district.
Three projects and the teams behind them came away from the Local Authority Building Control awards as winners.
- Church House, Swaton won the award for Best Extension or Alteration to an existing building
- Hemp House, Bassingham won the award for Best Individual New Home
- Martin Davis, D Brown Building Contractors won the award for LABC Non-residential Site Agent of the Year
The district council’s commitment for excellence extends to ensuring the highest levels of safety and quality within the built environment. Through the Building Control Unit, it works to ensure health and safety of all people in and around buildings, their welfare and convenience, and promotes energy efficiency and full accessibility to all.
Council leader, Cllr Richard Wright said: “This is a great achievement for all those involved. Our Building Control team work closely with a number of projects across the district, and are well respected for the value for money service they provide. To have been recognised for their hard work at these regional awards is incredible.”
The three winning projects will now move forward to the National awards in the Autumn.
