Calling all District traders – it’s never too early to start planning for Christmas and a free workshop with top tips and advice will help you to make the most of the season.
For the second year running, North Kesteven District Council has organised a special two-hour workshop packed with retail tips and tricks from industry experts Kerching.
It will be jam-packed with information on how to drive turnover, increase, footfall and average spend and encourage repeat custom.
Many businesses attended last year’s event as well as the 70 tips and tricks held in March, with feedback showing they found it incredibly useful – and there’s even more they can find out this time around.
Corin Birchall, from Kerching, said: “Christmas is so important for many retail, leisure and service businesses.
“This opportunity NKDC has given to spend a couple of hours sharing best practice, learning from some of the most successful retailers is priceless.
“We have brand new content and insight to share for those businesses that attended last year. So much has changed on the High Street in 2017 already.
“Small changes can have a dramatic impact on a business's turnover, particularly over the Christmas period.
“We’ll have a sack full of new ideas to get your tills ringing over Christmas!”
The District Council is committed to supporting the local economy, encouraging businesses to flourish and jobs to be created.
Councillor Richard Wright, Leader, said: “I hope as many traders as possible make the most of this opportunity to get expert advice on making the most of the Christmas shopping season.
“Local and independent businesses have just as much right as bigger chains to tempt people in, but might not necessarily have the information at their disposal on how to do it.
“By hosting this event and making it free to attend, we’re ensuring that anyone who wants to find out more can do so. They will also have the chance to network and find out updates on the regeneration projects taking place in the town.”
The Christmas Workshop will be held in NKDC’s Chamber on Tuesday, September 12, beginning at 5.30pm for networking and nibbles.
