Despite this week’s sizzling temperatures, North Kesteven District Council is reminding people that winter is only just around the corner and now is the time to take action to make sure that local homes stay as warm as possible.
The Council is part of the county-wide organisation Lincs 4 Warmer Homes which connects residents with funding and installers to keep people warm whilst still keeping energy bills under control.
The group can also signpost people to where financial advice and support with debts is available.
North Kesteven’s executive member for housing, Cllr Ian Carrington said: “Despite the warm temperatures we have been enjoying now really is the time to be getting ready for winter. Arranging for work to be done takes time and I would urge everyone who thinks work need to be done to get in touch as soon as possible.
A form to start the process can be filled in by visiting the North East Lincolnshire Council website or help can be offered by calling 01472 326434.
Lots more information is available on our keeping warm and saving energy webpage.
