Nag’s Head Passage

As part of the wider programme of UK Shared Prosperity Funding Projects, Sleaford's Nag's Head Passage has benefited from extensive fence repairs and repainting. Recent clearance works included the removal of low-level vegetation along the entire path, with care taken to prevent any damage to the existing walls.

New CCTV cameras have also been installed and are now operational, covering the entrance / exit points of the passage at both Sleaford Station and Southgate. Works have been aimed at creating a more appealing public footpath for residents and visitors.

The final phase of the project was a Community Litter Sweep, which took place on January 19. The litter sweep aimed to help foster a sense of connection to the space and make it more inviting. All were welcome to participate, with volunteers from Plastic Free Sleaford, the Rotary Club of Sleaford and Rainbow Stars.

Below is a summary of the outcomes of the litter sweep:

  • Volunteers: 16 to 20
  • Cans collected: 66
  • Plastic bottles collected: 50
  • Glass bottles collected: 11
  • Bags of general rubbish: 13
