Events grant 2025/26
Grants from £500 to £5,000 are available to support new events, or existing events that are looking to improve and grow.
Key Criteria:
The event must be held in North Kesteven.
Applicants can include charities, volunteer groups, social enterprises, clubs, societies or other formally constituted bodies, businesses, parish and town councils. Individuals may not apply for this grant.
Capital (i.e. equipment purchases) and most revenue costs (e.g. staff costs or venue or other hire) are eligible. Cost breakdowns will be reviewed and costs not considered appropriate for an event as submitted will be excluded.
A minimum mandatory match funding requirement of 10% is required and for larger grants we may ask for an increased contribution depending on the nature of the proposal. All applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
In-kind contributions cannot be considered with regards to the required 10% match funding.
The initial window for applications will close on 30 September. All events must be delivered and all monies spent by the end of February 2026.
Application Process:
When applying, you must provide the following. Failure to do so will result in applications being rejected.
- A description of the event, answering the following questions:
- Tell us about your event? (include date, time, location).
- How much of the event has been organised/confirmed as of the date of submission?
- Who is the organiser? (include company or charity details).
- Who is the target audience?
- Can the event be repeated if successful?
- How will you measure success?
- Do you have any experience organising similar events? (provide detail).
- How much grant are you requesting and how much will you match fund? Please identify the sources of match funding, and specifically address whether any other grants are being applied for in relation to the submission.
- An event plan with a breakdown of estimated costs (and revenues if appropriate) clearly showing which costs will be covered by the grant and which by your own/existing funds.
- Quotes or estimates to support your calculations and booking confirmations where applicable.
- A promotional plan (how do you plan to promote the event and where), any costs should be included in your plan.
- Applicants must also be able to evidence any/all Public Liability Insurance, Risk Assessments and relevant event licenses required if appropriate.
For final payments of any awarded grants, the applicant will be responsible for evidencing ALL costs, including those that have been match funded. You must inform us if any changes to your event plan as it develops. If the actual spend is lower than agreed after being awarded the grant, we will only cover the proportion of the grant as agreed e.g. 90%.
