What are the digital hubs?

Here at North Kesteven District Council (NKDC), we recognise the fact that our residents are often being told ‘you can do that online’ but not everyone has access or skills to be able to do just that.

To support our residents, NKDC run FREE weekly community digital hubs that can help anyone get online and guide them once they are there. Additionally, there are some digital hubs run solely by community groups around the district.

For more information on where and when the groups run, take a look below.

Upcoming closures

  • Summer Break: The Digital Hubs will be closed for three weeks for our annual summer break, from 3 August 2026 to 23 August 2026.

What can we help with?

At the Digital Hubs we help people with all sorts of questions and queries relating to their devices. Our staff and volunteers are proficient IT users can help with a wide range of issues, some of the most common are:

  • Setting up and sending emails.
  • Video calling.
  • Accessing services online, such as NHS and council services.
  • Online shopping.
  • Staying safe online.
  • Using apps effectively.
  • And much more.

Where possible, please bring along your own device, this could be a laptop, tablet or smart phone. We find people get most benefit from being supported on devices which are familiar to them. If you don’t have a device, but are interested in learning, we would still encourage you to still come along as we have access to devices for demonstration purposes and can also offer information about schemes offering free devices.

Please note, that whilst all our staff and volunteers are proficient IT users and will be able to help with most issues, most of us are not IT experts or IT professionals, just people willing to help and support others navigate their way around the digital world.
