Great art for everyone

The Council has a long-standing commitment to arts and culture and has operated exemplary creative and cultural services for over 25 years.

We want North Kesteven to be a district where residents of all ages enjoy arts activities and events, as well as an area where arts, enterprise and opportunity thrives.

Participating in enjoyable and socially creative activities can improve a person's health and wellbeing. It can develop strong and cohesive communities, and creates a great place to live and visit.

The Council's Arts Strategy is founded on the Council's vision, "Great art for everyone".

Sleaford Playhouse

The Playhouse was restored to a working theatre in 2000 and has had a varied history. Originally built as a theatre, it was subsequently adapted for a variety of other uses to meet the demands of the time, and is now once more a working Georgian theatre, one of only two remaining in the country. Sleaford Little Theatre now has the ‘home’ they have dreamed of and the town has an invaluable venue for all sorts of events.
