The Great Get Together is a event inspired by the late MP Jo Cox, designed and set up by The Jo Cox Foundation to bring local communities together. Some of the supporting partners involved with this event include The Big Lunch, Countryside Alliance The RNLI Lifeboats service and many more.
Currently over 17,000 people have gotten involved in getting their neighbours and friends together for a laugh, a drink and a dance, whether in the street, your garden or down at your local village hall this event will help you get inspired for a good cause.
The event is due to be held on the 16 - 17 June 2017 with the purpose of involving as many people to come together as possible as part of a commemoration to Jo and what she stood for as well as bringing communities closer together as they should be.
For more information on this event head over to the Great Get Together website where you can apply to get involved as well as get a pack sent to your door for free.
