The District Council collects low grade clinical waste as part of the normal household waste collection service. The waste should be wrapped and placed into the black wheeled bin and placed out for collection on your normal day.
You can request a sharps bin collection using our sharps collection online form.
Please note nappies and incontinence pads are not classed as clinical waste, households can dispose of these items in their domestic waste black wheeled bin.
Sharps bins are collected from residents by the Council on a fortnightly collection. If you are a resident and struggling with capacity, have a new request or would like more information please contact the team using the details below.
Businesses need to be aware that it is an offence to put waste generated from their business into the domestic wheeled bins, a separate commercial waste collection must be arranged.
North Kesteven District Council cannot recommend any one particular company but there are companies who provide commercial clinical waste collection services.
