Clinical waste

The council collects low grade clinical waste as part of the normal household waste collection service.

Clinical waste should be wrapped and placed into the black wheeled bin and placed out for collection on your normal day.

Whilst nappies and incontinence pads are not classed as clinical waste, they should be disposed of in a similar manner to low grade clinical waste (read above).

Sharps bins

Sharps bins are collected by the council on a fortnightly basis. If you are struggling with capacity, have a new request or would like more information, please contact Customer Services on  01529 414155.

A separate commercial waste collection must be arranged for the disposal of waste that is generated from a business - it is an offence to put commercial waste in the domestic black bin.
