We are committed to making sure the district is a safe place to live, work and visit.

CCTV

There are seven CCTV cameras in the Sleaford area, and three in North Hykeham which are monitored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The images recorded are held for a minimum of 28 days before being erased and all records images are controlled under the Data Protection Act. Pub Watch

This is managed through the Chamber of Commerce for the Sleaford area where licensees meet to discuss and tackle issues to ensure the safety of staff and customers. The meetings are regularly attended by the Neighbourhood Policing Team and our Anti-social Behaviour Officer. Shop Watch

This is managed through the Chamber of Commerce for the Sleaford area where town centre retailers meet regularly to share intelligence to counter shop theft. Members make full use of the low cost radio handsets which allows them to have instant contact with each other. The town PCSOs also carry Business Watch security radios. Neighbourhood Watch

The  Lincolnshire Neighbourhood Watch Association was set up as a way of developing close liaison between households in a neighbourhood, the local police and the local authority.

Community safety partnership (SafeNK)

You can find out more about the  Community Safety Partnership which aims to tackle the root causes of crime, by empowering communities to be involved in local decision making.
