There are always little jobs that need doing around the house – minor leaks, tap replacements, door chains, spy holes, window locks, shelves, curtain poles etc. Sometimes it is difficult to know who to ask to help.
North Kesteven District Council works in partnership with Lincolnshire Home Improvement Agency (LHIA) who co-ordinate a handyperson service using a chosen team of trusted contractors, ready and waiting to sort out all the odd jobs you need doing. No job is too small; if you need it doing then they will do it for you. The handyperson service is, however, unfortunately not an emergency service.
Even though you pay the contractor directly the price will be agreed beforehand so you can always be assured of the right bill.
For certain works that would prevent a defect becoming a more serious problem or small jobs that nevertheless remove a serious hazard North Kesteven District Council may be able to pay for the cost of the work. This would be:
