The election

An election has been called to fill the vacancy in the Quarrington Ward of Sleaford Town Council. This election will be held on 6 May 2021 along with the Lincolnshire Police and Crime Commissioner Elections, Lincolnshire County Council Elections and any other local council by-elections.

Polling stations within the district ward will be open at 7am and close at 10pm.

Becoming a Candidate

If you intend to stand as a candidate you must be at least 18 years of age and a Commonwealth citizen, citizen of Republic of Ireland or a citizen of another Member State of the European Union.  You must also either:

  1. Be registered as a local government elector for the area of the parish; or
  2. Have occupied as owner or tenant land or other premises during the whole of the previous 12 months in the parish; or
  3. Your principal or only place of work during the whole of the previous 12 months has been in the parish; or
  4. Have for the whole of the previous 12 months resided in the parish or within 4.8 kilometres of it.

You must complete a nomination paper, home address form, consent to nomination and any other relevant forms contained in the nomination pack.  A printed nomination pack can be requested from Electoral Services at North Kesteven District Council by contacting  01529 308024 or email
