You will normally receive your council tax bill by mid March. Bills are normally sent by post, you can register for electronic billing.
If you are new to the property, or have had a recent change in circumstances, we aim to get a new bill to you within 14 days of notification of the change.
The bill will tell you the amount you have to pay and how that amount has been worked out. The bill will also set out the amount of each instalment and the dates on which each one should be paid. Normally, you will be offered ten instalments, although that number will be reduced if the bill is issued after the end of April.
In exceptional circumstances, such as cases of hardship you are unable to keep to the instalment plan, please contact the office as we may be able to offer 12 monthly instalments or weekly instalment plans.
If you wish to pay by direct debit please contact the office and we can set this up over the phone for you, alternatively you can complete a direct debit mandate and return this to the office. We will then send you a revised bill.
