Authority Monitoring Report (AMR)

The production of an Authority Monitoring Report (AMR) is required by regulation 34 of the Town and County Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012.

The AMR is produced annually and covers the previous financial year from the 1 April to the 31 March. The report identifies the progress made on the production of policy documents set out in the Local Development Scheme.

The AMR also sets out indicators to assess the performance of the individual planning policies set out in the adopted Local Plan. Some of the key data provided includes the number of dwellings and affordable homes completed and the amount of employment floorspace provided during the monitoring period. Additional information is also provided on further housing, employment and environmental indicators which provide valuable information on the District.
