Volunteering for NKDC

Volunteer at North Kesteven District Council (NKDC) and you will join an organisation that is ambitious, people focused and strives to be the best in everything it does. NKDC's vision is to engage with its community, to promote opportunities for volunteering and to improve our services. We value our people and are proud to have been awarded the Investors in People Silver Accreditation. As a volunteer, you will be a valued part of the team and the organisation. We have a number of different roles here at NKDC and are always looking for enthusiastic people, with some time to give, to get involved. Complete our form to register your interest in becoming a volunteer.

Digital Hub Support Volunteers

NKDC, in partnership with other community groups and organisations, run a number of ‘digital hubs’ in the district. The aim of these hubs is to provide local people with somewhere friendly and relaxed to go to receive some advice on using their laptops, tablets and/or mobile phones, with all support tailored directly to the hub users. We are looking for patient, supportive people who can confidently use a laptop, tablet or smartphone, and are able to offer 1.5 – 2 hours per week, for more information see our digital hub support information document

You can download a volunteer application form or register your interest online.

Heritage Volunteers

NKDC also run a number of local heritage sites and have a wide range of opportunities available at Cranwell Aviation Heritage Museum, Cogglesford Watermill in Sleaford, and Mrs Smith’s Cottage in Navenby. For more information about these opportunities see our heritage roles information document.

To express an interest in any of our volunteering opportunities please fill out the form below.
