Welcome to our new website
Please have a look round and complete a short survey to let us know what you think
You need to let us know when you have moved into your new property, or if there have been any change in circumstances that would affect your Council Tax charge.
You can do this by either calling 01529 308266, by sending an e-mail to counciltax@lincoln.gov.uk or reporting a move on our online form.
There are a choice of payment dates on the 1st, 8th, 15th, 23rd or 28th of the month.
If you wish to pay this way you can set one up over the phone on 01529 308266 or email us at counciltax@lincoln.gov.uk or download the direct debit form. Please return it to the address shown on the form. Alternatively you can use the new MyCouncilTax system
For further information about direct debits visit the Direct Debit Website.
You can pay your Council Tax online using our online form. Please make sure you have your account reference handy.
Please note that your payment will take place within a secure payment system. We use a BT Verisign Global Certificate incorporating Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. This can be identified by a padlock icon. This can be found either at on the bottom of your screen or across the top next to the URL box depending on what version of browser you are using. All of your personal and card details are protected using 128 bit encryption, when transmitted over the Internet.
You can make a telephone payment using your credit or debit card. Have your account/reference number and credit or debit card ready and call 01529 308180 when you call and follow the instructions carefully. Please note, we are unable to accept payments using American Express; Diners or Electron Cards.
Any queries regarding the automated payment facility can be made by phoning the main office telephone number 01529 414155. Select the option for ‘All other enquires’ to speak to a Customer Services Advisor during the Council’s office opening hours.
Please use sort code 57-02-50 (National Westminster) and state the NK bank account number 00000000. Please ensure that your account number only is quoted as the reference.
Your Council Tax bill contains a unique barcode which allows you to pay by either cash or cheque. To make a payment, simply present your bill at a post office or any other establishment displaying the ‘Payzone’ sign. This Payment Method is automatically available to North Kesteven residents.
You can find your nearest Post Office branch on the Post Office website.
