Selected local community projects and not for profit groups are encouraged to apply for funding through the Sleaford REP Community Power Fund before its next deadline of Monday 11 December.

The Sleaford REP Community Power Fund is delivered in partnership with North Kesteven District Council and Schroders Greencoat, owners of the Sleaford Renewable Energy Plant. The fund has provided £125,000 over five years to support community projects within a five-mile radius of the plant.

Not-for-profit groups operating within the threshold are encouraged to apply for grants of up to £5,000 from the Community Power Fund for projects in the fields of environment, sport, wellbeing, and education.

The Sleaford REP panel review applications on a quarterly basis. It’s made up of representatives from the Sleaford Renewable Energy Plant, the local community and North Kesteven District Council, and the next meeting to consider applications for funding will be taking place on Wednesday 31 January 2024.

The initiative aims to improve the lives and wellbeing of people living within the eligible area and enhance communities and groups.
