The Department of Energy Security and Net Zero has awarded £300,000 to fund the Local Energy Advice Demonstrator (LEAD) project which will deliver services across North Kesteven, West Lindsey, City of Lincoln and South Kesteven.
The funding will be used to provide support to residents living in homes that are hard-to-modify, and to increase the uptake of government funding schemes that are available for energy efficiency upgrades. The upgrades range from sustainable heating systems like heat pumps, through to external wall insulation, making a home easier to heat.
The Home Energy Advice Team are based out of West Lindsey District Council and will be running drop-in advice sessions in targeted parts of Lincolnshire. The team will also be doing home visits to establish what upgrades are needed and then continue to support residents during the delivery of the work.
Lincs 4 Warmer Homes will also be working with health professionals to identify people with long-term health issues who will benefit the most from having their homes improved.
If you would like to contact a member of the team regarding energy advice or the possibility of grant funding, you can email energy.advice@west-lindsey.gov.uk or telephone 01427 675199
