Local Plan Review 2019

The current Local Plan was adopted in April 2017 and continues to perform well in making decisions on development, however, in response to significant changes to national policy, a review is required to ensure it remains up to date.

The first, formal stage of the Local Plan review was the Issues and Options consultation that took place in June and July 2019. The Issues and Options Consultation Report (below) sets out details about the consultation and provides a summary of the responses. The comments received will help inform the drafting of the revised plan, which will be published for public consultation in early 2020.

The Central Lincolnshire Local Plan was adopted by the Central Lincolnshire Joint Strategic Planning Committee (CLJSPC) on 24 April 2017 and it now replaces the Local Plans of the City of Lincoln, West Lindsey and North Kesteven District Councils. The adopted Central Lincolnshire Local Plan and associated documents are available to download below.

Paper copies of the Adopted Local Plan and Policies Maps can be purchased for £50 (plus £6:78 post and package). The Local Plan can be purchased online or by cheque, made payable to 'North Kesteven District Council' from City Hall, Lincoln or District Council Offices, Sleaford or by debit/ credit card at District Council Offices, Kesteven Street, Sleaford.

Housing Growth in Medium and Small Villages (Local Plan Policy LP4)

Policy LP4 provides a strategic steer as to what level of growth over the plan period is appropriate for all small and medium villages (as identified in the Settlement Hierarchy in Policy LP2). North Kesteven and West Lindsey District Council provide a monitoring note of the latest position on permissions and completions and remaining growth level for each listed village in their area.
