Local Plan Review - Consultation
The Local Plan Review is proposed to replace the Local Plan adopted in 2017. It addresses a range of issues such as climate change, housing, employment, shopping and more.
The review was begun with an Issues and Options consultation which was held in June and July 2019 followed by a Draft Local Plan consultation which was held in June, July and August 2021. Consultation on a Proposed Submission Local Plan took place between 16th March and 9th May 2022.
The Proposed Submission Local Plan and the range of evidence documents that support the policies in the plan can be viewed in the Local Plan consultation library below and via the Consultation Hub. An interactive map and map extracts showing the sites proposed for allocations and other designations in the plan are available to view below.
Paper copies of the Local Plan and Policies Maps can be viewed at City of Lincoln, North Kesteven, West Lindsey and Lincolnshire County Council Office receptions and at Lincoln Central, Market Rasen, Gainsborough and Sleaford libraries. Local Plan Consultation Library
This library contains the Proposed Submission Local Plan that was consulted upon in spring 2022 along with relevant evidence behind the plan and other documents that are of relevance.
Documents are grouped under themes for ease of reference, clicking on each theme will reveal the documents available.
Parish Information
Local Plans are supported by a substantial amount of evidence which is needed to successfully navigate an Examination. This can make it challenging to pick out the pieces of information that are of particular relevance to parish councils or other neighbourhood planning groups.
In an effort to help make the background evidence easy to access, some key documents have been drawn out and placed in one location and it is hoped this will assist in helping parish councils and neighbourhood plan groups in responding to the Local Plan consultation- Opens in a new window, which runs until 9 May 2022.
It is important to note that you may also wish to review the other evidence supporting the Local Plan and this is available in the consultation library above. If you feel that any other specific documents are of particular relevance to parish councils and neighbourhood planners please do let us know at talkplanning@central-lincs.org.uk and we will add them to the list below.
As well as these documents you will undoubtedly want to view the policies map for your area. An interactive map and downloadable PDF maps are available above.
