Local Plan Review - Inspectors Report Received
The Local Plan Review is proposed to replace the Local Plan adopted in 2017. It addresses a range of issues such as climate change, housing, employment, shopping and more.
On 8th July 2022 the Local Plan Review was submitted to the Planning Inspectorate in order for it to commence its examination. The Local Plan examination was held between 15th November and 16th December 2022.
During the examination, a number of proposed changes (‘Main Modifications’) to the Local Plan were identified. These changes are considered likely to be required to make the submitted Plan ‘sound’ and legally compliant and therefore enable the Plan to be adopted. Consultation on the Recommended Main Modifications, Additional 'Minor' Modifications and Recommended Policies Maps Modifications took place between 13th January and 24th February 2023. A Further SA Addendum Report (Jan 2023) and HRA Addendum Report (Jan 2023) also accompany the Recommended Main Modification.
The Inspectors Report has now been received by the Central Lincolnshire Joint Strategic Planning Committee. The Inspectors Report and Schedule of Main Modifications Appendix are available to download below.

The review was begun with an Issues and Options consultation which was held in June and July 2019 followed by a Draft Local Plan consultation which was held in June, July and August 2021. Consultation on a Proposed Submission Local Plan took place from March to May 2022 and the Local Plan Examination held between 15 November and 16 December 2022.
The Local Plan Review documents, the range of evidence documents that support the policies in the plan and representations received can be viewed in the Planning Policy Library and via the Consultation Hub. An interactive map and map extracts showing the sites proposed for allocations and other designations in the plan are available to view below.
Paper copies of the Local Plan and Policies Maps, can be viewed at City of Lincoln Council Offices, North Kesteven District Council Offices, West Lindsey District Council and Lincolnshire County Council Offices. All consultation documents are made available during the consultation period. Please check opening hours of the offices and viewing arrangements prior to visiting as appointments may be necessary.
