Sleaford Transport Strategy

The existing Sleaford Transport Strategy (2014) is, to a large extent,  predicated on the delivery of the South East Sleaford Regeneration Route (SESRR) and the associated closure of the Southgate Level Crossing. Due to national policy changes, such as the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF), and shifts in consumer behaviour altering investor development decisions these planned infrastructure investments are now very unlikely to be delivered.

Given this, a new Transport Strategy is necessary for the town that reflects the continued ambition for growth and which recognises the changing role of the town centre. This new Transport Strategy is currently being developed drawing principally on the following evidence base:
