Chairman and Civic Functions
The Chairman of Council is the civic and ceremonial head of the Council.
The central role of the Chairman is as an Ambassador, a representative for North Kesteven District Council and the community. As an Ambassador, the Chairman promotes the corporate policies of the local authority and hosts main civic events, welcoming visitors to the authority on behalf of the Council members.

The Vice-Chairman elected for May 2012 - May 2013 is: Councillor Terry Boston
The Chairman’s PA is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Civic Office as follows:
- provides support to the Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Members.
- maintains the Chairman’s civic engagements diary and liaises with other authorities and outside organisations involved with civic engagements.
- programmes and manages the Council’s civic events hosted by the Chairman annually.
- programmes and manages the Chairman’s charity fund, organising events to raise money for the Chairman’s chosen charity or charities during their year in office .
