People aged 60 and over, and eligible disabled people, are entitled to free all day travel within six Districts of Lincolnshire namely North Kesteven, West Lindsey, East Lindsey, Lincoln City, Boston Borough, South Holland and to free off peak bus travel on local timetabled routes anywhere in England.
The off-peak periods which apply when travelling in other parts of England are between 9.30 am and 11.00 pm on weekdays, and all day at weekends and bank holidays.
The English passes are of a standard design used by all Councils, in order to be easily recognisable in all parts of the country. Whilst the pass can be used on local bus timetabled routes, it is not eligible for use on the following transport services:-
- Coach tours and excursions
- National Express
- Sightseeing tours
- Trains
- LondonUnderground
- Taxis or Dial-a-Ride schemes
- Trams
North Kesteven will continue to provide travel tokens to the annual value of £22, as an alternative to the new bus pass for those preferring this type of concession.
