The District Council collects low grade clinical waste as part of the normal household waste collection service. The waste should be wrapped and placed into the black wheeled bin and placed out for collection on your normal day.
If you are a resident and struggling with capacity then please contact the team where arrangements can be made.
Please note nappies and incontience pads are not classed as clinical waste, households can dispose of these items in their domestic waste black wheeled bin.
Sharps bins are collected from residents by the Council on a fortnightly collection. For new requests or more information please contact the team using the details below.
Businesses need to be aware that it is an offence to put waste generated from their business into the domestic wheeled bins, a seperate commercial waste collection must be arranged. There are companies who provide commercial clinical waste collection services, more details on disposing of commercial clinical waste is available on the link below.
