NK Visitor Guide

Download your guide to the area

Have you ever wondered where Sleaford got its name from? Or what to do on a dull day? Maybe you just fancied a bite to eat and fancied trying somewhere new?

The 2012 Heart of Lincolnshire Visitor Guide will be published at the end of January and it is full of useful information for local residents as well as those from further afield.

The new Visitor Guide also features an exclusive interview with TV celebrity chef Rachel Green, a Lincolnshire resident with a passion for our local produce. Rachel advises visitors to North Kesteven to “go local”! The county was voted Britain’s Favourite Food Spot earlier this year, so the 2012 guide has a ‘food feel’ to it in honour of this commendation.

A big fan of the Lincolnshire Sausage, Rachel has also furnished the Heart of Lincolnshire Visitor Guide with a special sausage-themed recipe to encourage readers to get cooking!

Rachel said: “My crusade to educate people about local produce is kept alive with my role as the official champion for Tastes of Lincolnshire. So if you are in North Kesteven in 2012, make sure you go local and look out for the Tastes of Lincolnshire logo and take advantage of all the great Lincolnshire produce on offer to you!”

The guide also features information on North Kesteven District Council’s Stepping Out Walks, which span the entire district and cover over 135 miles of way-marked paths; as well as the area’s distinct history – from aviation heritage to the origins of some of our 100 flourishing communities.
