Don’t forget to have your say today on Council Tax Benefit proposals.
North Kesteven residents are being reminded they have until Friday 30 November to have their say on the changes to Council Tax Benefit.
The district council is proposing to put in place a Council Tax Support scheme which will replace Council Tax Benefit when the Government abolishes it on 31st March 2013.
The Government will continue to provide money to fund the new local schemes but there will only be 90% of the amount the district council would have got had Council Tax Benefit continued.
This week is your last to have a say on North Kesteven District Council’s proposals.
Comment online at www.n-kesteven.gov.uk/ctsconsultation before 30 November.
The responses to the consultation will be collated in December and Councillors will consider them and make their final decision in January. The outcome will affect over 3,000 working age households and many more who might need help to pay their Council Tax in the future.
